Before you start any high intensity interval training, you have to ask: 
"What are the exercises that will use the most muscle groups at the same time?” 

Here’s the thing… 

I don’t expect you to know the answer. It took me 10+ years and tens of thousands of dollars spent on studying from the top Exercise Physiologists (plus privately testing on my clients) to figure this out! 
If you’re only doing 10 minutes exercise, you can’t do isolated exercises like bicep curls or calf raises. 

If you're trying to strengthen your core, you should DEFINITELY avoid exercises like crunches and sit ups and focus your efforts on planks and rotational exercises. 

If you’re looking to melt stubborn fat, high intensity bursts of total body cardio exercises like jumping jacks and walkouts are your best bet. Once you've picked the exercises that are actually worth focusing on, it's time to talk intensity...
STEP 2: You Must Challenge Yourself!
The golden rule for fat loss is to push yourself in every circuit and keep your rest breaks to a minimum. You want “incomplete recovery”, meaning you take a short break, but not long enough to fully recover.

Aim for:
- Shorter rest periods (like 20s or less)

- Longer rest periods between circuits (but not long enough to fully recover, or check Facebook. Like 45-60 seconds)
- Add in cardio exercises (like burpees, jumping jacks or total body extensions) Instead of doing a 30 minute workout all at the same intensity, you’re going for “short bursts” followed by rest periods.  

But as logical as that may seem, the magic comes from selecting the right kind of exercises, and more importantly using a suitable work to rest ratio. And the “secret sauce” that comes in Step 3...
STEP 3:  Get Accountability 
No, you’re not trying to be “perfect” or compare yourself to other people... you’re only building your support network to “check in” and ultimately increase the likelihood of success.

In other words, you join a group of like-minded people who have similar goals and check in everyday. This is obviously a little time consuming in the beginning, but it is THE KEY to actually getting results you want.
